Montgomery continued to pound the ball and ultimately found the end zone, capping off his night with 91 rushing yards. Gibbs contributed 40 rushing yards and a touchdown, further fueling Detroit’s ground attack. Goff completed 18 of 28 passes for 217 yards, adding a touchdown and an interception to his stat line.
Detroit took a commanding lead in the third quarter when Goff launched a 52-yard touchdown strike to Jameson Williams, making it 17-3 with 10:29 left in the period. Stafford ended the game with 317 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception, despite losing wide receiver Puka Nacua to a knee injury early on.
In the final moments of regulation, Goff led the Lions downfield, setting up Jake Bates for a 32-yard field goal to send the game into overtime at 20-20. The Lions then closed it out in the extra period, securing the win and continuing their impressive run this season.
