The Republican victory in North Carolina kept their historic voting streak. Trump won there by a margin of 3.66 percent in 2016 and 1.34 percent in 2020. Supporters cheered as early results on big screens at Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin's election party in Madison, Wisconsin showed Baldwin trailing Republican candidate Eric Hovde. Kamala Harris is also slightly ahead across the state, the results so far show. Amidst the cheers, Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Sarah Rodriguez took the stage to speak matter-of-factly about the situation, saying, "It may take a little longer to see most of the final results, which is normal in Wisconsin." He also said that many voters are still waiting in line.
Members of Baldwin's campaign team said they were bracing for a long night, as final results could come after midnight. As millions of people exercise their right to vote on Election Day in the United States, questions are being raised about the transparency of online voting. However, election officials quickly dismissed several allegations, including one by Donald Trump.
Trump claimed on his social media that law enforcement was deployed in Philadelphia because of "massive fraud." However, he did not provide concrete evidence for this allegation. The Philadelphia Police Department said they are not aware of any such case.
