Israeli military says it killed Hamas commander and two other fighters in occupied West Bank 

Israel’s military reported that it killed three Hamas members, including a commander, as its operation in the occupied West Bank entered its third day.On Friday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it had killed Wissam Khazem, identified as the Hamas leader in Jenin, during a gunfight after he was spotted “in a vehicle in the area.” The military stated that weapons and money were found in the vehicle.Two other individuals were also killed while attempting to flee the vehicle. The IDF identified them as Maysara Masharqa and Arafat Amer, both members of Hamas who reportedly “operated under Khazem’s command and participated in shooting attacks against Israeli communities.”The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's armed wing, confirmed the deaths and acknowledged Khazem as one of its leaders in Jenin. Additionally, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a coalition of Palestinian armed groups, recognized Masharqa as one of its “most prominent field commanders” in Jenin.As of Friday, 19 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing Israeli military operation across the West Bank, including in the cities of Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarem, according to the Palestinian ministry of health and various Palestinian groups.
